Rainbows everywhere

I just got caught up on answering responses from past entries, so if you wrote to me and didn't hear back, or didn't find a response when you checked back, you will probably find one now. A lot of you put a great deal of thought and love into writing to me, and it is very much in my heart to reciprocate.

Please know that I appreciate you. Especially now that things are so challenging for me physically, you are my guiding rainbow. I have always found purpose through the work that I could do with my body, and now I can't even dust furniture. You have no idea--well, a lot of you probably do--how hard that is, or how much your support means to me.

Snow, I think we all know how appreciative you are, at least of us blogging friends; can't speak for those down the road from you.

Julie "”Make yourself alike in pleasure and pain...."

I will definitely look the author up. Almost word for word, he reflects the belief of the ancient Stoics about suffering. Are your familiar with them?

No, I'm not...I love old Eknath ...the book is The End of Sorrow...itbreaks down the Bhagavad Gita for use in every day life...and sometimes I actually remember to turn to it for answers...

I'm sorry to hear of your physical challenges and pain that you endure. As someone new to your blog and to you I can only express my sincere hope that you find some relief, and that I may bring you some solace or diversion through my own writings.

All the best,

Kat

Now look! You are one of my absolute faves because I see so much of me in you.
I HATE that you are in pain, and that I live so far away. I would come there and walk the dogs everyday if I just could.
Truth is -
I can't even find time to walk me, AND I live on the other side of the world. HMPH!
Argh!, lots of my blog friends are suffering and I really feel so helpless!
Guess I will just send my love as ever, Snow.xx

I haven't been on in a while and hope that you get better and better. It is tough when you can't do the things you are used to doing. I will send much positive energy to you.

Thank you, Jane, my friend from the Southland

Julie, the Stoics are misrepresented as people who simply grimaced--but didn't cry--when in pain (like a macho guy), but they were much more than that, and I highly recommend Epictetus and Marcus Aurelius, esp.

Thank you, Commie-worker-kat (ha).

Hey, Sonja, I've been wondering about you since you've been quieter than usual lately.

Yes, All Con, I'm glad we have the Internet too. I literally don't know what I would do with my time anymore without it. Maybe something really good, who knows.

Yes, Mim, blogger friends are very supportive indeed.

Natalie " can't even find time to walk me, AND I live on the other side of the world."

I mean, really Natalie, I think you're reaching pretty hard there for an excuse. Just come right and say you don't want to help. Jeez.

Maya, I'll say you haven't been around in a while--to your blog or mine, but you've certainly been thought of. You are welcome to mention your soul-retrieval event here if you would like.

Thank you, Joe. I think of you in the same light.
